I saw this man staring out into the distance at Bolsa Chica State Beach. Was he admiring the cruise ships moored in the horizon, reminiscing about trips long gone, or dreaming of vacations out of his reach? Was he waiting for someone to join him? Was he watching over family playing in the distance?
I never got a chance to find out.
